Farming Spectral Dust:

Your best bet for farming Spectral Dust is by taking down Banshees. These spooky ladies hang out in the Cursed Villages, which are tucked away in the Cursed Forest. That's the area northeast of your starting zone, by the way. Now, here's the catch: the Cursed Forest has a hidden minimap, which makes navigating a real pain. You can temporarily reveal it by flying up or by attacking those little wisps scattered around. The drop rate for Spectral Dust from Banshees is pretty low, though, so don't expect to get stacks of it this way. It's more of a 'maybe you'll get lucky' kind of deal.

Crafting Spectral Dust:

This is where it gets more reliable. To craft Spectral Dust, you first need the recipe for the Advanced Grinder. You'll snag that by defeating Domina the Blade Dancer, a level 60 boss chilling in Rustlock Village, which is in Gloomrot South. Once you've got the recipe, you'll need 8 Reinforced Planks and 60 Tech Scrap to build the Advanced Grinder itself.

To make those Reinforced Planks, you'll need to toss 4 Iron Ingots and 4 Planks into your Sawmill. As for Tech Scrap, you'll find that by farming robotic enemies and smashing crates in the Gloomrot Area.

After you've built the Advanced Grinder, you'll need two more ingredients to actually craft the Spectral Dust: Ghost Crystals and Scourgestone.
