Alright, so you've made it to Avernus Tower as part of the Warden's Keep DLC. This part is all about protecting a guy named Avernus while he messes with the Veil. It's not too complicated, but there are some good rewards if you handle it right.
Walkthrough
- 1First things first, head back to the Great Hall on the second floor of the Keep. Avernus is going to be trying to close the Veil, and guess what? Demons are going to show up to ruin his day. Your job is to keep him safe from them.
- 2The final demon you'll face is a Desire Demon. Don't sweat it too much; it's pretty easy to tank and kill. Keep an eye on it, and it'll usually drop some decent coin when it goes down.
- 3Once the dust settles, chat with Avernus. You'll have a choice to make: either let him live or, more importantly, kill him. If you choose to end him, he'll drop the Robes of Avernus. These are pretty sweet for anyone focusing on blood magic, so grab 'em!
- 4After you've dealt with Avernus, make your way downstairs. You'll want to check out Asturian’s Portrait. Doing this gives you access to his personal stash.
- 5Inside Asturian's stash, you'll find Asturian’s Might and the Shadow Belt. Snag these; they're good gear. This also wraps up the “Ancient History” quest.
- 6If you decide to leave the area and then come back later, you'll find that Levi has set up his shop. Plus, you'll get access to a storage chest, which is always handy.
- 7Now, if you happened to pick up the Meteor Metal Ore from a random encounter earlier, this is where it pays off. Give that ore to Mikhael, and he can forge the legendary sword Starfang for you. You get to pick whether it's a one-handed or two-handed sword, so choose based on your combat style.

- Don't forget that you can access extra Blood Magic abilities by drinking the contents found around here.
- Asturian really did have a nice stash of strong items, so make sure you didn't miss any of them!
