Beginning in Denerim

Guide your character through the initial stages in Denerim, including finding key codex entries and dealing with Weylon.

Alright, let's get started in Denerim! First things first, you'll want to head over to Genitivi's Home. It's located right across from the Tavern. Once you're inside, you'll find a couple of codex entries to pick up. Look for the book on the table – that's Codex 203: History of the Chantry - Chapter 3. Then, head into the next room and grab Codex 116: Dragon Cults.

Now, you need to talk to a guy named Weylon. He's going to be pretty defensive about something, so you'll need to be persistent. Eventually, he'll attack you. If you decide not to fight him right away, he'll give you some advice. Follow it and make your way to the Lake Calenhad Docks. Once there, find the Innkeeper at The Spoiled Princess. Chatting with them should give you the information you need.

As you're leaving the docks, expect some Cultists to show up and attack. Don't forget to loot their leader – you'll find the Ceremonial Armor on them. After that little scuffle, head back to Genitivi's Home. You'll want to deal with Weylon for his treachery. After that, go into the back room. There's a book there for Codex 071: Chantry Hierarchy, a chest with some important items, and the body of the real Weylon. Once you've got all that, open up your World Map and travel to the Village of Haven.
