Side Questing in Denerim Part 2

Boss Fight - Gaxkang the Unbound: Gaxkang is an Arcane Warrior with seemingly infinite mana, heavily utilizing Entropy and Primal spells. To mitigate his attacks, cleanse your group and spread out. Position your tank to face Gaxkang away from the party to minimize the impact of spells like Cone of Cold, although he may still hit the group. Most stuns and freezes will be resisted or rendered ineffective due to his immunities. Ensure you have plenty of potions. Consider using Wynne's Vessel of the Spirit to sustain her during the latter half of the fight. Gaxkang is potentially more dangerous than the Archdemon due to his high resistances and the confined fighting area. Come well-prepared.

Chest Loot: After defeating Gaxkang, check the chest located at the back of the area. It contains a significant amount of gold (sovereign), gems, and the Elementalist's Grasp, which are considered excellent offensive mage gloves.

Ransom Drop Location: After leaving the area (which will disappear upon departure), proceed to the Ransom Drop Location.

Howe's Soldiers and Captain Chase: Defeat the wave of Howe's Soldiers and Captain Chase at the Ransom Drop Location. You will discover that there was no hostage.

Return to Gnawed Noble Tavern: Head back to the Gnawed Noble Tavern.

Speak with Ignacio: Interact with Ignacio. You will have a choice to either kill him or allow him to leave peacefully. Regardless of your choice, the quest will be completed.
