Alright, let's get you through The Alienage. It's a bit of a somber place, but there are a few things you'll need to do here to keep the main quest moving and pick up some useful items along the way.

First things first, you'll want to chat with the Hooded Courier and Varel Baern. Finishing up those conversations will wrap up a couple of quests for you. After that, head into Cyrion’s House and find Soris. He'll give you the lowdown on what's really going on in the area and point you towards Shianni, who knows even more.

Make your way to the gathering and speak with Shianni to get the full picture. You can pop into Alarith’s Store if you want, but honestly, you won't get any useful information from him. Once you're done there, head outside to the Mystical Site of Power. Check the signpost for Codex 157: Vhenadahl - The Tree of the People, and don't forget to grab the Andraste’s Grace item nearby.

Now, for a bit of a detour that ties into another quest. You'll need to speak with Ser Otto. He'll give you the quest “Something Wicked.” To help him out, you'll need to examine a few things: a Feral Dog, a Pool of Blood, and a Dead Dog. Once you've checked them all out, report back to Ser Otto. He'll then tell you it's time to head over to the Orphanage.
