Walkthrough
- 1Upon entering Redcliffe, you'll notice Deathroot near a house. Cross the bridge to speak with Tomas, who will direct you to Bann Teagan for aid.
- 2In the Chantry, loot the pile of books for Codex 073: The Founding of the Chantry. The bookshelf provides Codex 082: Demonic Possession, and another book yields Codex 108: Thedas Calendar.
- 3Speak with Jetta to complete “Last Will and Testament”.
- 4Speak with Kaitlyn and agree to find her brother Bevin to start the quest “A Missing Child“.
- 5Exit the Chantry and head uphill. Loot the wooden crate for Andraste’s Grace.
- 6Enter the Windmill, loot the crate for a Love Letter(3), and speak with Ser Perth. He will ask you to see Revered Mother Hannah.
- 7Head downhill across a small bridge and enter a house. Speak with Dernal Garrison (required for 'Scraping the Barrel'). Loot the bookshelf for Codex 193: Ballad of Ayesleigh. In the back room, a chest can be looted.
- 8Exit the house and head downhill to the right, spotting another Deathroot.
- 9Go around the unfinished boat uphill to find a chest and a wooden crate.
- 10Head to Lloyd’s Tavern. Examine the tavern table for Codex 235: Graffiti in Redcliffe’s Tavern.
- 11Speak with the Militia Men. Convince the barkeep to make you co-owner or persuade him to let his goods be free, or force him to defend the village.
- 12Speak with Bella and ask about the Elf. You can arrange for her to give everyone a kiss if they survive the night.
- 13Speak with Berwick and convince him to help the militia; you will also gain Codex 227: Berwick’s Letter.
- 14Leave the Tavern and head to the main village area. Speak with Murdock.
- 15Go to the Blacksmithy. Persuade or intimidate Owen to gain access. Agree to find his daughter to start the quest “Lost in the Castle“.
- 16Move the crate in the corner to reveal a hidden trapdoor. Loot the average gear inside.
- 17Exit the Blacksmithy, go around the corner to find a chest and Deathroot, then enter the Chantry.
- 18Speak with Revered Mother Hannah and persuade/intimidate her to help Ser Perth. Take the amulets to the knights.
- 19Go to Kaitlyn’s Home on the opposite side of town. The book inside grants Codex 197: The Legend of Calenhad - Chapter 1.
- 20In Bevin’s room, convince him to reveal his father’s sword's secret. Persuade/intimidate him to get the key, then go to the second floor.
- 21Open the chest to get The Green Blade. Use the bookshelf for Codex 225: Cautionary Tales for the Adventurous.
- 22Leave the house and head right to the General Store. Loot the corner chest; the note yields Codex 234: A Tattered Shopping List.
- 23Examine the barrel in the General Store.
- 24Go to the docks. Find a barrel and a sign yielding Codex 127: Lake Calenhad.
- 25Continue around the docks to a wooden crate, then head west to a Deathroot.
- 26Head north, then east from the Blacksmithy to find another Deathroot.
- 27Go around the corner from the General Store to Dwyn’s Home. Pick the lock or break in. Convince Dwyn and his men to help by persuasion, intimidation, or payment.
- 28Speak with Ser Perth about the barrels of oil in the General Store.
- 29Return to the Chantry and speak with Kaitlyn to finish “A Missing Child”.
- 30Speak with Murdock and tell him you are ready to begin “The Attack at Nightfall“.
- 31Defend Redcliffe. Position your tank at the front. Heal your allies as needed.
- 32When the top path is secured, a militia man will inform you of an attack on the other end. Use Wynne and Group Healing, coupled with stuns and Taunt, to keep the militia alive.
- 33If you keep Lloyd alive, he will give you Lloyd’s Magic Ring. If you save everyone, you are rewarded with the Helm of the Red.
- 34A Blackstone Irregular Liaison and a Chanter’s Board will become available, offering six new quests: “Caravan Down“, “Brothers and Sons“, “Skin Deep“, “Desperate Haven“, “Unintended Consequences“, and “Grease the Wheels“.
