Your Dragon Age: Origins camp is your hub! Discover Sandal's enchantments, Bodahn's wares (including the essential Backpack!), and manage party member relationships. Plus, learn about DLC quests and world map choices.

Alright, you've woken up from that dream and had a chat with Alistair. Now you're free to explore the camp! This is your main hub for a bit, so let's see what's what.

First off, you've got a new quest called "Enchantment" that you can turn in to Sandal, the dwarf you rescued earlier. He's your go-to guy for making your gear even better with runes.

Bodahn, the merchant, has a whole bunch of stuff for sale. You probably won't have enough gold for most of it right now, but keep an eye out for the Backpack. It's usually at the bottom of his item list and is super useful for carrying more loot. If you happen to have the Warden's Keep DLC, Levi Dryden has a quest for you called "Soldier's Peak".

Don't forget you can chat with any of your party members here. Your dialogue choices can actually change their affection towards you, so choose wisely!

Bodahn’s Wares

Enchantment Details

Sandal is your man for enchantments! He can add runes to eligible gear to make it more powerful. It's a great way to boost your stats.

Moving On

Once you're done at camp, you'll have several choices on the World Map. Most of these will move the story forward. For this guide, we're going to assume you've already headed to the Circle Tower and helped out the Mages. Doing so gets you a healer and some nice stat boosts for free, plus the Circle Mages will come to Redcliffe's aid later, which is a good outcome. So, your next destination will be Lake Calenhad Docks.

DLC and Rare Items

While you're traveling around Ferelden, you might stumble upon The Crater. Inside, there's a Pile of Ore that contains Meteor Metal Ore. This ore is specifically for the smith at Warden's Keep, an area you can only access if you have the Warden's Keep DLC.
