Your Pokemon Sword and Shield journey begins on Route 1! Learn how to navigate this first route and reach Wedgehurst, meeting Leon along the way.

Alright, so you've just left your house and are ready to start your big adventure in Galar! Your first stop is Route 1, and honestly, it's a pretty chill and scenic path. Think of routes like the roads connecting different towns in the game – this first one is super straightforward, just head north and you'll be at the next town in no time. Later routes can get a bit more complex, though!

Now, normally, these routes are where you'd find wild Pokémon chilling in the tall grass and other trainers itching for a battle. But don't worry about that just yet! Since you don't have any Pokémon of your own right now, you can't actually battle any wild Pokémon or trainers. That'll change really soon, though, so get ready!

Keep heading north, and you'll pass Hop, who's basically there to make sure you don't accidentally wander into the tall grass. As you get closer to the next town, Wedgehurst, you'll see a bunch of people gathered. Those are Leon's fans, all waiting to greet him at the train station. Looks like you're in the right place!

Once you get into Wedgehurst, head over to the crowd by the entrance. Leon's just arrived! After he signs some autographs and chats with his fans, he'll spot you and Hop and come over. The three of you will then head back to Hop's house together. Easy peasy!
