Trouble in Hammerlocke

You will face Chairman Rose, the head of Macro Cosmos. His team consists of: Escavalier (Level 55, Bug/Steel), Ferrothorn (Level 55, Grass/Steel), Perrserker (Level 55, Steel), Klinklang (Level 56, Steel), and Copperajah (Level 57, Steel).

Escavalier is weak to Fire-types, taking 4x damage. Be wary of its Drill Run attack.

Ferrothorn is also weak to Fire and Fighting-types. Its Iron Barbs ability will damage you if you use contact moves.

Perrserker is a pure Steel-type. It can use Screech to lower your Defence, Shadow Claw, and Throat Chop to prevent sound-based moves.

Klinklang is another pure Steel-type. It can use Shift Gear to boost its Attack and Speed, but has no strong moves.

Rose's final Pokémon is Copperajah, which he will immediately Gigantamax. Its G-Max Steelsurge will set up Spikes, damaging Pokémon that switch in. It can also use Ground and Psychic Max Moves. It is slow with middling defences.

After defeating Rose, head back towards the corridor and take the elevator on the left to the Tower Summit.

You will encounter Eternatus (Level 60, Poison/Dragon). This Pokémon uses Cross Poison, Dynamax Cannon, Flamethrower, and Dragon Pulse. You cannot capture Eternatus during this initial battle; focus on defeating it.

Psychic-types are a safe bet against Eternatus. Ground and Ice-types are also effective. Dragon-types can work if they are fast enough to avoid KO's from Dynamax Cannon or Dragon Pulse. Inflicting paralysis or lowering its Special Attack can also help.

After defeating Eternatus, it will return much stronger for a Max Raid Battle against its Eternamax form.

You will fight alongside Hop in a 2-player raid against Eternamax Eternatus (??? Level, Poison/Dragon). Your moves will not work initially.

After the third turn, you and Hop will use ancient weapons, and Zacian and Zamazenta will join your party.

Zacian (Crowned Sword) will use Howl and Behemoth Blade. Zamazenta (Crowned Shield) will use Light Screen and Behemoth Bash.

Eternatus (Eternamax) functions like a Dynamaxed or Gigantamaxed Pokémon, using attacks like Max Wyrmwind, Max Flare, and Max Ooze. It can also cancel your party's stat boosts and abilities.

You do not need to do much in this battle, as Zacian and Zamazenta are very powerful. You can assist with super-effective Psychic, Ice, or Ground moves, or inflict status conditions.

After defeating Eternamax Eternatus, you will be able to catch it. It is guaranteed to be caught, regardless of the Poké Ball used.
