Gym Trainer Annette: Annette uses a Level 34 Spritzee and a Level 34 Slurpuff. On your second turn, you will be asked about Fairy-type weaknesses; both Poison and Steel are correct answers.

Gym Trainer Teresa: Teresa uses a Level 34 Swirlix and a Level 34 Aromatisse. On your second turn, you will be asked the name of the previous trainer; the correct answer is “Annette”.

Gym Trainer Theodora: Theodora uses a Level 35 Morgrem (Dark/Fairy) and a Level 35 Gardevoir (Psychic/Fairy). Morgrem is weak to Poison and Steel. Gardevoir is weak to Poison, Ghost, and Steel. On your second turn, you will be asked what the trainer eats for breakfast; the correct answer is “omelets”. Note that Morgrem has Fake Out, which causes a flinch on the first turn, and Gardevoir has Mystical Fire, which is strong against Steel-types.

Gym Leader Opal: Opal's team consists of a Level 36 Galarian Weezing (Poison/Fairy), a Level 36 Mawile (Steel/Fairy), a Level 37 Togetic (Fairy/Flying), and a Level 38 Alcremie. Galarian Weezing is weak to Ground, Psychic, and Steel. Mawile is weak to Fire and Ground; avoid using Poison moves as it is immune. Be wary of Mawile's Intimidate ability, which reduces Attack. Togetic is weak to Electric, Rock, Ice, Poison, and Steel. Opal will Gigantamax her Alcremie immediately, which can use G-Max Finale to restore HP for its party. It is recommended to use a Dynamax or Gigantamax Poison or Steel-type Pokémon.

Opal's Questions: During the battle, Opal will ask up to three questions. The correct answers are “wizard”, “purple”, and “16”.

After the Battle: After defeating Opal, you will receive the Fairy Badge, TM87 Draining Kiss, and a Fairy Uniform. Opal will then ask if you want to follow her to Hammerlocke.

Proceed to Hammerlocke: Head to Hammerlocke and go to the main entrance from the Wild Area side. You will encounter Bede. Then, head east to the exit to Route 7. Sonia will stop you at the train station due to an explosion. Continue east to find Hop, then follow him east to Route 7.

Poké Mart: Before leaving Hammerlocke, visit the third Pokémon Centre. The right Poké Mart clerk sells TMs that alter terrain, and the “Fang” series TMs (Thunder Fang, Fire Fang, Ice Fang).
