Hop's Final Challenge

Begin the battle against Hop's team. His Pokémon are all high level, with his final team consisting of: Dubwool (Level 69, Normal), Snorlax (Level 68, Normal), Pincurchin (Level 68, Electric), Corviknight (Level 69, Flying/Steel), his starter Pokémon (Level 70, Water/Grass/Fire depending on your starter), and either Zacian (Level 70, Fairy/Steel) if playing pokemon sword and shield, or Zamazenta (Level 70, Fighting/Steel) if playing pokemon sword and shield. It is highly recommended to add Zacian or Zamazenta to your party for this battle.

Dubwool: This Normal-type Pokémon can use Cotton Guard to boost its Defense by 3 stages. Its attacks include Double Edge and Double Kick. Fighting-types or special attackers are effective. Ghost-types can avoid its attacks.

Snorlax: This bulky Normal-type Pokémon has moves like Hammer Arm, Earthquake, Heavy Slam, and Crunch. Fighting-types are recommended. While it has considerable bulk, it cannot heal itself, though Hop may use a Full Restore.

Pincurchin: This Electric-type Pokémon has added Recover to its moveset, allowing it to heal. Its attacks include STAB Zing Zap, Poison Jab, and Liquidation. Despite the threat of Liquidation, Ground-types are ideal unless they are also Rock-type.

Corviknight: This Flying/Steel-type Pokémon may use Light Screen to protect its party from special moves. If Light Screen is active, switch to physical moves or use Brick Break. Otherwise, it has STAB moves and Swagger. Fire or Electric-types are effective.

Hop's Starter: Be mindful of Hop's starter Pokémon, which is high level. If you picked Grookey, he'll have Inteleon (Water); if you picked Scorbunny, he'll have Rillaboom (Grass); if you picked Sobble, he'll have Cinderace (Fire). Inteleon has Ice Beam, Rillaboom has High Horsepower, and Cinderace has Gunk Shot. Use your own starter or Pokémon that are super-effective against his.

Hop's Legendary Pokémon: Hop will unleash his Legendary Pokémon in its Crowned form. If playing pokemon sword and shield, use Zacian's Sacred Sword, which deals super-effective damage and ignores Defense buffs. Fire-types, especially special attackers, are also effective. Will-O-Wisp can be used to burn it, reducing its damage output. Ground and Fighting-types should also do reasonably well. If playing pokemon sword and shield, facing Zacian can be very difficult. Consider using Zamazenta's Behemoth Bash (neutral damage but benefits from STAB), Fire or Ground-types. Alternatively, you can let Zacian use Wild Charge on itself by rotating two Pokémon weak to it (Water or Flying-types), reviving them after they faint.
