Discover Freezington, the Crown Tundra's only settlement! Get your Expedition Uniform, learn about Legendary Clues, and find useful items like the Blunder Policy and TRs.

Alright, so you've made it to Freezington! This is pretty much the only town you'll find in the whole Crown Tundra area, so it's kind of a big deal. When you arrive, the camera will do a little sweep of the place. It's not huge, but hey, it's a town! The mayor's gonna come out and say hi, and as a welcome gift, he'll hand you a cool souvenir: the Freezington's Fame Boatneck Sweatshirt. Plus, just like in the Isle of Armor, your first Pokémon will start following you around!

Pro Tip: If you're not feeling the whole 'Pokémon following you' vibe for some reason, no worries. Head to the house just to the left of where you entered town. There's an older lady chilling by the door. Inside, you can talk to a girl dressed as Eevee to turn the following Pokémon feature on or off.

Anyway, after that, a guy named Peony will grab your attention. He's waiting for you at the house at the very back of town, marked by a red flag. Once you regain control, the camera will be pointing right at the house you need to visit, but feel free to take a moment and check out the town.

As you explore, you'll notice a peddler near the entrance on the left. They've got Poké Balls and other handy adventuring gear. Now, head to the right of the entrance and look for a little path tucked between the fence and the slope. Follow it around to the back of a house, and you'll find a Blunder Policy sitting there between the house and a hedge.

Keep going to the end of that path. You'll see a golden ball next to a tree – grab it, and you'll get TR17 Amnesia. What were we even doing here again? Anyway, head back to the main part of town. You might have spotted an item on the other side of the fencing on your way back. Go around the fence and snag it – it's an Utility Umbrella.

Now, make your way back towards the entrance, near the bottom of the slope. Find the house where the elderly lady is sitting on some boxes. Check out the fenced area to the right of this house. You'll see an item next to a tree, just out of reach. Look around the base of the tree, and you'll find a hidden item.

If you're feeling a bit adventurous, go to the right and follow the fence all the way around. You'll have to push through some tall grass, which is home to wild Pokémon. Keep an eye out for the scary-looking Abomasnow (don't worry, they're not too bad unless you're underleveled). You'll find a chunk of Charcoal there – perfect for warming up a chilly room!

Next, head to the opposite end of town, near where Peony's house with the red flag is. To the left of the exit, near a corner of the field, there's a slope leading up to the back of the mayor's house. Look around the corner of the hedge for a hidden item. Then, keep going to the end of the path, and you'll stumble upon TR73 Gunk Shot.

Finally, make your way to Peony's house. The sign outside says it's called the “Freeze Inn.” Brr, couldn't they have picked a warmer name? Before you go inside, check out the area to the left, where the boxes and shovel are. You'll find a hidden Wishing Piece there. Now, waltz on in.

Peony will announce that this house is going to be your main base for all your adventures. You'll get an Expedition Uniform, just like Peony's, so you can really get into the spirit of things. Or, you know, change out of it immediately after he's done talking.

After that, he'll point you to a door in the far corner. This door is super important because it's where you can heal up your Pokémon and also change your outfit and the color of your expedition jacket's armband. Since there aren't any Pokémon Centers around here, this is your go-to spot for healing.

And last but not least, Peony will give you three Legendary Clues. These will be stored in your Key Items pouch, so you can check them anytime to re-read the clues. With these, you can kick off the story quests to find the Legendary Pokémon that live in the Crown Tundra. To get you started, Peony will also give you a Master Ball – pretty sweet!

A quick note on Story Quests: There are three main story quests in the Crown Tundra. The first one revolves around Calyrex, who's supposed to be the king of this region. The second quest involves the Regi Pokémon, which you might remember from Ruby and Sapphire. And the last quest is for the Galarian versions of the Legendary birds from Kanto. You can tackle these quests in any order you like, or even at the same time. To finish them completely, you'll need to catch all the Legendary Pokémon involved. Just a heads-up, they're all Level 60+, so make sure you've got at least 8 badges – otherwise, you might be too scared to throw your Poké Balls, or something like that!
