Sword and Shield: Postgame Adventures

After defeating Leon, you will battle Hop. His team consists of Dubwool (Level 59, Normal), Corviknight (Level 59, Flying/Steel), Pincurchin (Level 58, Electric), Snorlax (Level 58, Normal), Cramorant (Level 58, Flying/Water), and his starter (Level 60) which will be Inteleon if you picked Grookey, Rillaboom if you picked Scorbunny, or Cinderace if you picked Sobble.

Hop's Dubwool can use Cotton Guard to boost its Defense by 3 stages. Fighting-types or strong special attackers are recommended.

Corviknight has Brave Bird and Steel Wing for STAB, and can use Scary Face to lower Speed. Fire-types or Electric-types are effective.

Pincurchin uses Zing Zap, Poison Jab, Bubble Beam, and Fury Attack. Ground-types are the best counter.

Snorlax has coverage moves including Crunch. Fighting-types are recommended.

Cramorant has Dive, Drill Peck, Throat Chop, and Steel Wing. Electric-types are its weakness.

Use your starter Pokémon against Hop's starter: Rillaboom against Inteleon, Cinderace against Rillaboom, or Inteleon against Cinderace.

After defeating Hop, Sonia will give you Sonia's Book.

Inspect the gravestone in the middle of the altar to place the ancient weapon you borrowed.

Two NPCs will appear and steal the weapons.

You will then battle either Pokémon Trainer Sordward (if playing Pokémon Sword) or Pokémon Trainer Shielbert (if playing Pokémon Shield).

If battling Sordward: His team is Sirfetch’d (Level 60, Fighting), Golisopod (Level 60, Bug/Water), Doublade (Level 60, Steel/Ghost), and Bisharp (Level 60, Dark/Steel).

Sordward's Sirfetch’d can use Meteor Assault, a powerful Fighting-type move that requires recharge. Flying, Psychic, or Fairy-types are recommended.

Golisopod has First Impression, Liquidation, and Sucker Punch. Flying-types are recommended.

Doublade can use Swords Dance. Fire, Ground, or Dark-types are effective.

Bisharp can use Swords Dance, Night Slash, Iron Head, and Stone Edge. Fighting-types are ideal, dealing 4x damage. Fire and Ground also work.

If battling Shielbert: His team is Sirfetch’d (Level 60, Fighting), Bronzong (Level 60, Steel/Psychic), Falinks (Level 60, Fighting), and Klinklang (Level 60, Steel).

Shielbert's Sirfetch’d can use Meteor Assault and Iron Defence. Flying, Psychic, or Fairy-types are strongly recommended.

Bronzong can use Light Screen and Hypnosis. Fire, Ghost, or Dark-types are recommended, preferably physical attackers.

Falinks has First Impression, No Retreat, Close Combat, and Megahorn. Flying or Fairy-types are recommended.

Klinklang can use Shift Gear and Protect. Fire, Ground, and Fighting-types are fine choices.

Reward: After defeating either Sordward or Shielbert, you will reclaim the Rusted Sword.
