Get ready to face Hop again! This guide breaks down his team, including Dubwool, Corviknight, and Snorlax, and gives you the best strategies to win.

Alright, so you've made it back to Circhester, and guess who's waiting for you? Yep, it's your rival, Hop! He's brought his team back, and some of them have gotten a serious glow-up. Plus, there's a bit of a weather change during the fight – hail! Keep that in mind if you've got any Ice-types ready to go.

Hop's Pokémon Team:

  • Dubwool (Level 40, Normal)
  • Corviknight (Level 40, Flying/Steel)
  • Pincurchin (Level 39, Electric)
  • Snorlax (Level 39, Normal)
  • Your starter's opposite (Level 41) - e.g., Inteleon if you picked Grookey
Walkthrough
  1. 1

First up is Dubwool. This guy is basically a beefed-up Wooloo. It's pretty tough and bulky, so your best bet is to hit it hard with Fighting-type moves. Just keep the pressure on, and you'll take it down.

  2. 2

Next, watch out for Corviknight. This is Rookidee's fully evolved form, and it's picked up the Steel-type. That means it's only really weak to Fire and Electric moves. It can take a lot of hits, so be prepared for a bit of a defensive battle, but it's not super aggressive offensively.

  3. 3

Then comes Pincurchin. This is a brand new Pokémon for Hop, and it's a pure Electric-type. Don't get fooled into thinking it's Water-type! Also, a big heads-up: it has the ability Lightning Rod, so hitting it with Electric moves will actually power it up. Avoid that mistake!

  4. 4

Hop's Snorlax is back! Just like before, this Pokémon can soak up a ton of damage. It doesn't have any recovery moves, though, so as long as you keep up your offense and don't let up, it will eventually fall. Just keep pounding away.

  5. 5

Finally, his starter Pokémon. Once you get past Snorlax, you'll face Hop's starter. This is where you should just bring out your own starter Pokémon and have at it. It should be pretty straightforward from here.

  6. 6

Leaving Circhester. After that battle, you're on your own again. To head out, go east from the entrance of the hot baths. You're looking for the boutique. Once you're there, take the path on the right-hand side, where the houses are. Keep going until you see the hair salon on your right. Continue past that, and you'll exit Circhester onto Route 9.

Tips
  • The hail during the battle can actually help you if you have Ice-type Pokémon. Their attacks will get a boost!
  • Be extra careful with Pincurchin – it's Electric-type and has Lightning Rod. Don't waste your Electric moves on it!
