- 1As the Giant Robot explodes, Super Sonic grabs the Master Emerald. Congratulations, you've completed Sonic & Knuckles! Enjoy the ending.
- 2If you collected all 7 Chaos Emeralds: Super Sonic brings the Master Emerald from outer space. Tails appears in the Tornado, grabs the Master Emerald as Super Sonic enters Mobius' atmosphere. You turn back into regular Sonic and land on the biplane. Sonic and Tails return to the Floating Island, leave the Master Emerald in Angel Island Zone. As Floating Island rises, Sonic and Tails leave in their plane.
- 3If you obtained 0-6 Chaos Emeralds: Sonic falls from outer space, but the Master Emerald remains there. Tails appears in the Tornado as Sonic enters Mobius' atmosphere. You land on the biplane and return to the Floating Island. The island remains in the sea as Sonic and Tails leave in their plane.
- 4When you complete the game, watch the credits. A short scene follows, depending on Chaos Emerald collection. If all 7 were collected, you'll see the Death Egg wreckage and an EggRobo Badnik emerging from it (the same one that drops a bomb in Knuckles' intro and pilots vehicles in his adventure). If not, you'll see Robotnik with the Master Emerald.
Tips
- The final boss is the same design as the Final Boss from Sonic 2's Death Egg Zone.
- Robotnik will only shoot missiles and spikes and constantly try to run away.
- Press the A, B, or C Buttons repeatedly to catch up with Robotnik.
- This fight is easier than the previous battle because you can collect Rings.
- Simply charge into Robotnik to hit him.
- Ignore missiles and spikes if he launches them, as they cannot hurt Super Sonic.
- Concentrate on attacking Robotnik for a quick victory.
