Mini-Boss: Bomber Ship
When the Bomber Ship shows up, don't panic! Just jump on top of it and keep bouncing. Each bounce is a hit. If it flies up, jump off and wait for it to come back down. Watch out for those boosters underneath it – touching them will hurt you. If it starts blasting fire, and you happen to have a Flame Shield, you're in luck – it'll block the flames!
Act 2 Walkthrough
First things first, get a Spin Dash going and blast through that tunnel, holding Right to smash through the boulders. Then, hit the Giant Ring to enter the Special Stage. After you pop back out, drop down and head to the right. You'll cross a bridge, then Spin Dash through some more boulders. Grab that Water Shield if you see it, and then just run down the hill.
Keep heading up the hills, and you'll find another tunnel. Spin Dash through it, and then use the spring to jump up to a switch. Hit that switch to drain the water – super important! Now, drop down and head right again. You'll pass a Starpost, so keep going across the wooden bridge. Climb up the ledges to your right. You'll need to take out a Bloominator here, then run through the loop-de-loop. You'll go down a slope and get launched by two springs.
Here's a tricky bit: when you go left, you'll see a waterfall. You need to wait for the platforms to appear before you try to cross. Don't rush it! Once you're across, Spin Dash through those boulders and grab that Water Shield if you missed it earlier. Head right and cross the bridge. You'll run past another Starpost, so keep going and Spin Dash through the next tunnel.
As you come out of the tunnel, just keep running right. The Flying Battery Blimp will start dropping bombs. If you keep your momentum, you should be able to dodge them all. You'll pass through some trees, and you might spot Robotnik in the background. When you get to a waterfall, he'll actually appear on the left side of the screen. Be ready!
