Defeat EggRobo's Spiked Swinging Machine in Sonic & Knuckles. It requires 8 hits and cannot be destroyed directly.

Walkthrough

    Follow the path until a platform begins ascending.
  2. 2
    Keep running on the platform until you reach the final spikes.
  3. 3
    The platform will stop rising.
  4. 4
    EggRobo will swoop down and appear in the center of the screen. (Note: Robotnik's sprite is shown, but it is EggRobo you are fighting).

    EggRobo unleashes a laser machine. This machine cannot be destroyed directly.

    Each time the laser fires, it damages the machine and causes the room to cave in.
  7. 7
    If you have a Lightning/Water Shield, hitting the machine will have no effect.

    Continue this process until the machine explodes and EggRobo runs off. This battle requires 8 hits to complete.

  • The laser machine is similar to Sonic 2's Wing Fortress Zone Boss.
