Alright, so you've finished up the 'Fire and Ice' main quest and Davrin's got another job for you. First, chat with him to kick off a short scene called 'Cries From The Past,' then head right back to him at the Guesthouse. He'll send you to the Arlathan Forest to start 'A Friend in Need' proper. Look for Davrin in the Hidden Grove Area.
- 1You'll meet a guy named Eldrin who needs you to check on some local Halla. Head west from Eldrin and cross the fallen log to get into the Tainted Woods. The Marpel Tree Branch you need is right in front of you.
- 2Next, make your way across the lake to the other side. Look to the right of the staircase; you'll find the Vanerberries chilling next to some small trees.
- 3For the last ingredient, climb up the slope and then ascend the wooden platform nearby. The Stone Root is waiting for you up there.
- 4With all your items collected, follow Davrin. You'll wind your way around Cliffside Pass. Find the empty platform, place the items you gathered on it, and then climb back up the cliff. Use the tee branch to call in a Halla, and a short scene will play out.
Once the Halla are taken care of, head back to Eldrin to let him know they're doing better. This will wrap up the quest and net you 500 XP, 150 Gold, and a boost to your Davrin Bond Increase.
