The Singing Blade

After completing Shadows Crossing, speak with the Veil Jumpers in Arlathan Forest. You'll learn about the Lyrium Dagger and travel to the Ritual Site to begin The Singing Blade.

Speak with Harding at the Ritual Site. Follow the path south, dealing with lingering magic.

Enter the area and burst Blight Boils. Engage and defeat the Hurlock using companion Combos and Fire-based attacks.

To proceed, go under the arch north of the gate and break wooden boards to find a gap. Squeeze through.

To your right, leap a small gap to find a chest. Then, take the stairs up and leap another gap to find a beam generator.

Interact with the beam generator to move the laser and direct it at the Power Crystal on top of the gate to open it. Claim the gear chest.

Follow the linear path back outside to the Overlook area. Deal with Darkspawn Ghouls, learning about Stagger and Takedown mechanics.

Destroy Blight Boils to prevent more Darkspawn from spawning. Burst the Blood Boil first, then others blocking the path.

As you descend stairs, look for ledges on the left to climb to a bridge with a gear chest.

Drop down and pass under an arch. Burst the glowing red Boil to the left of the Blight blockage.

Pick up the Power Crystal to make the bridge disappear, allowing you to hit a hidden Boil underneath it. Burst the Boil blocking the way to continue. Find another Gear Chest and a pedestal to open the way forward.

Continue through the Cliffside Passage, encountering more Darkspawn. Prioritize ranged enemies with Barriers, then defeat the rest.

Use the first beam generator to direct a beam at a Power Crystal above the gate. Break boards behind the wall left of the gate to find a ladder to a second beam generator.

Direct the second beam generator at the other Power Crystal to open the gate and claim another gear chest.

Return to the Blight Boil and burst it to proceed through the ruins. Defeat another group of Darkspawn, including a Protected Javelineer with a Barrier.

Follow the path down to the Old Quarry. Before heading to the objective, backtrack to find a hidden gear chest at the end of the path.

Return to the objective marker to corner the Ghoul who took the Dagger.

Engage the Lyrium Ghoul. It is agile and aggressive, using a cone AoE magical attack indicated by a red indicator. Dodge the AoE and attack.
