Wrongs of Annulment Quest Walkthrough

Start the Quest: After completing 'Lair of the Dragon King' in Act 2, return to the Winding Shoreline in Rivain. Speak with Rowan and the spirit Compassion near the Fast Travel point to accept the 'Wrongs of Annulment' quest.

Clear Demons at the First Site: Travel to the Clifftops on the western side of Rivain. Head southwest from the Fast Travel beacon to find the first site. You will fight three Undead Templars (requiring armor depletion), followed by Unquiet Spirits including a Murdered Mage (prioritize this target). Finally, the main demon, Despair of the Massacred (can blind you), will appear. After defeating it, speak to Compassion to cleanse the site.

Clear Demons at the Second Site: Head to the Warden Castle beacon on the western side of Rivain. From there, go north and descend into the large opening at the bottom of the Ravine Descent. Here, you'll fight Chantry Zealots followed by the Envy of Power demon (uses quick spinning attacks; maintain distance). Speak to Compassion to cleanse the site.

Clear Demons at the Final Site: Travel to the eastern side of Rivain (unlocked after 'Lair of the Dragon King'). Head to the Tide Flats, east of your current location. Go to the far east of the flats, past the large bones, to trigger the final encounter. You will fight Arnold Maulrich, Hero of the Chantry, Bane of Apostates (Superior Undead, weak to Necrotic, resistant to Cold, has armor). He is assisted by spirits. Use charged Heavy Attacks against Arnold due to his shield. After defeating Arnold and any remaining Murdered Mage, speak to Compassion to complete the quest.
