Navigate Duke Nukem Forever's treacherous Laser Trip Mines and find Ego Boosts like A Dirty Magazine (+1 Ego) and Bulls-Eye! (+2 Ego).
Walkthrough
- 1Grab the Ripper off the floor.
- 2Turn on the Hovercraft and float through the huge corridor.
- 3Dodge the first set of horizontal Laser Trip Mines (Laser Trip Mines) by ducking and jumping.
- 4When the Hovercraft stops, you will be ambushed. Defeat Wave 1: 2 RPG Super Pigcops and 1 Ripper Pigcop.
- 5Defeat Wave 2: 5 Octabrains (maximum of 2 on the field at a time). Use the Ripper and constantly move, avoiding their blasts.
- 6Knock debris out of the way to continue.
- 7Dodge six sets of Laser Trip Mines, ducking and working your way around them. Sets three and four are close together; watch for gaps to the left and right off-centre.
- 8Proceed through unlocked doors to a locked door.
- 9You will be ambushed by three Ripper Pigcops. Fight from behind the indestructible crates.
- 10After defeating the first three, five more Ripper Pigcops will replace them. Defeat all eight.
- 11An elevator will descend with an RPG Super Pigcop inside. Defeat him before he fires. Warning: Do NOT stand under the elevator as it descends.
- 12Climb inside the elevator and press the red button.
- 13Ride the elevator up, filling up on the Explosives Cache.
- 14As you travel forward, defeat two Assault Troopers with Pipe Bombs.
- 15Turn around and defeat an Assault Trooper Captain.
- 16The elevator will break and fall slightly. Climb out and up the ladder. Pick up the RPG Launcher if desired.
- 17Enter the door in front of you.
- 18In the next room, find a Muddy magazine (Ego Boost) and a computer. Do not flip the switch yet.
- 19Proceed to the next room and defeat two Ripper Pigcops (the Devastator works well).
- 20Underneath the catwalk, you can grab/reload the Devastator.
- 21At the far end of the room, find a dart board (Ego Boost) and a Railgun and Pipe Bombs. Warning: An Assault Trooper will spawn behind you if you walk to the dartboard.
- 22Head back and flip the switch. This opens the large door and a nearby smaller door, creating a shortcut back to the Hovercraft.
- 23Engage and defeat three Assault Troopers attacking Captain Dylan.
- 24Land on your Hovercraft and get it moving again.
- 25Dodge the next set of Laser Trip Mines, including two swinging back and forth. Time your movements through the middle gaps.
- 26A line of Laser Trip Mines appears on a bridge. Target the red barrels above to blow open the bridge, creating a gap.
- 27Dodge two more sets of swinging Laser Trip Mines by walking through the middle gaps.
Tips
- Laser Trip Mines (Laser Trip Mines) are invincible and cannot be shot. You must dodge them.
- On DiG difficulty, you can survive only one Trip Mine hit if your Ego (health) is full. A second hit will be fatal.
- If you saved the Devastator from the last level, it is effective against regular enemies.
- When Octabrains are on the field with an ally, they may throw explosive projectiles at your ally instead of you.
- The crates near the Ripper Pigcop ambush are indestructible and provide good cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects).
- The energy barrier around the elevator platform lowers when docked, creating a risk of falling into the instant-death area below.
- The Muddy magazine Ego Boost does not appear on the main menu's master list.
- The dartboard provides an Ego Boost.
- A Dirty Magazine (+1 Ego)
- What's on the Computer? (+1 Ego)
- Bulls-Eye! (+2 Ego)
