Follow the translucent green arrows (waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination) indicators) to guide you.

Use the running evasion technique from "An Offer You Can't Refuse," moving side-to-side and using corners for cover to make yourself harder to shoot.

Tips

A man on the steps near the start of the first alley has a Steel Bar weapon.
As you enter the alley a car comes out of, a man in a dark suit and fedora may say, "Where the hell is she? I said three o' clock in the passageway." Just past him, a man in a corner may be urinating. If you have Tommy punch him, he runs away while still urinating.
As Tommy goes through the small tunnel before crossing the street to Salieri's Bar, a woman may ask about a meeting. If you pause, Tommy can tell her, "I think he's waiting in the next street," potentially resolving a misunderstanding.
In the alley just before the small tunnel, a couple may threaten each other. If Tommy punches the man, the woman may yell for help, mentioning guns.
Before the cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically), using mods like "MafiaCon" or "Mafia Hack V1.03" with noclip (a cheat to move through solid objects) allows you to see NPCs (non-player characters) drinking inside Salieri's Bar before they appear in the cutscene.
Alternative method (using invincibility mode?): Punch the man with the Baseball bat by the car until he is knocked out. Crouch by the car to draw fire from the other attacker. While he reloads, circle strafe him and use the bat.
Alley chase alternative method: Lead the man with the Baseball bat to the other side of the taxi from the man with the gun. Hit the man with the bat from behind repeatedly to get his weapon. Go around the taxi to lure the man with the gun to shoot. Charge him when he reloads and hit him from behind repeatedly to get his gun (S&W Model 10 M&P). Chase away or kill the man with the Steel bar. You can then safely interact with NPCs.

Cutscene: Tommy enters Salieri's Bar. Morello's gangsters enter, and two shots are heard. Luigi the cook/bartender turns the sign from "OPEN" to "CLOSED." Tommy has a drink by the man he rescued previously, who has recovered. Sam is also having a drink nearby.

Voice-over: Tommy reflects on Salieri's boys saving him, his debts being paid, his boss's reluctance to employ mob-affiliated individuals, Salieri's appealing associates, his rivalry with Morello, and his decision to work for Salieri for money.

After Cutscene: In the lot behind Salieri's Bar, two men move the bodies of Morello's gangsters to a pickup truck.
