Your Nioh 3 walkthrough for 'The Queen's Eyes' mission. Learn John Dee's Hundred Eyes boss moves, weaknesses, and strategies to finally defeat him.

Alright, we're at the final boss of the game, John Dee, also known as the 'Eyes of the Queen.' He's the real mastermind behind everything, working with Edward Kelley and hoarding Amrita. It's time to put an end to his scheme.

John Dee has transformed into a monstrous form covered in eyes, kind of like something out of Bloodborne. He's a massive target and doesn't move around a whole lot, which is great for us. If you've been using a fast weapon and stacking status effects like Fire or Poison, now's the time to go all out. Honestly, Hundred Eyes doesn't do a lot to defend himself most of the time. He can warp away, but he'll reappear nearby, usually in a good spot to attack you. His 'Laser Eye Summon' has him stationary in the center of the arena, regenerating health, but he's pretty much always open to attacks.

The main attacks you need to watch out for are the 'Laser Eye Summon' and 'Dark Shards.' When he does the summon, small eyes pop up around the room and shoot lasers at you. These lasers do very little damage, and the first time he uses this attack, the eyes disappear shortly after. You can honestly ignore them and keep up the pressure. However, the second time he uses this attack, the eyes stick around. They only take one hit to destroy, so feel free to clear them out with a wide-sweeping attack, like a mid-stance spear quick attack, if you need to.

The 'Dark Shards' attack is also pretty dangerous. Hundred Eyes summons shards, similar to how other enemies summon icicles, and throws them at you. If all of them hit, they can really do some damage, so make sure you dodge these. Remember to keep your health up, use all your buffs and debuffs, and hit that Living Weapon when he's around 30-35% health. Let's finish this fight and put an end to the Amrita obsession!

BOSS MOVES: Hundred Eyes

  • Body Swing: The snake (each one) will swing the upper half of its body at you. It's best to back away if you can, but guard if you must (which will likely deplete your Ki). After the body swing, you can likely run in and get some easy hits in.
  • Elemental Breath: Each snake can do a sweeping breath attack of its corresponding element. This can start to stack status effects as well, but thankfully it does little damage. Best to avoid it by moving back just like the Body Swing attack.
  • Elemental Shots: This is the snake's only real ranged attack, and the reason we have to move around a bit when we aren't attacking. The snakes shoot whatever element they are of course, and getting hit can stack the same status effects. These shots don't hurt much, thankfully, but try to run around to avoid them regardless.
  • Ouroboros Lunch: This is the snake's
