    Head towards the ladder/building area and kill a bandit in a shed for a [_CORPSE_].

    Go up the ladder and down the surface path, as the door below is locked.

    As you approach the large building, beware of a distant Archer and a Ninja down the path.

    Before dropping down the hole, lure two wandering bandits and a Samurai against the back wall, plus a Samurai and Bandit in the water area, to their deaths.

    Loot the [_CORPSE x2_] against the back wall and the [_CORPSE_] to the left past the stairs.

    Drop down the hole. Kill the Fiend in the mist and open the door for a shortcut if desired.

    Head back to the room and up the slope. There is no Nurikabe this time, but you are behind the building where the Shrine used to be.

    Ambush the bandit to the right and approach the mist by the cave entrance to fight a Flying Bolt enemy. Attack it quickly when it appears.

    Head outside the building and go left. Kill the patrolling bandit, and the Samurai and Bandit on the right path.

    Proceed forward to the building and kill the Ninja guarding the front. Loot the [_CORPSE_] inside.

    Optionally, kill a Ninja behind the house by going around the right side to ambush him.

    In the wide-open area with buildings, kill the wandering Bandit, the Samurai and Bandit pair, and the Bandit with a CANNON in the back. You can draw them towards the upper path with arrows.

    Loot the [_CORPSE_] by the hole and the [_BIG CHEST_] in the back.

    Enter the cave area through the entrance/exit guarded by the Flying Bolt.

    Be ready for an Archer in the first cave area. Take him out with a headshot (a shot that lands on the enemy's head, usually an instant kill).

    To the right, kill the Bandit and Samurai. Check that right room for a [_CHEST_] behind the boxes.

    Continue to the path split. The left path has a ladder with no use now.

    Head right. In the room, interact with the [_CORPSE_] containing an Amrita Fiend. Use the doorway as a choke point and attack the Fiend only after it attacks.

    Head back to the central room. Interact with the [_CORPSE_] to trigger dialog/memories and the boss fight against Onryoki.

    During the fight, two Lightning Spirits will appear about halfway through. Kill all enemies to complete the mission.
Tips
  • The objective "Defeat the large oni and the mysterious samurai" is misleading; you will fight Onryoki and be aided by a Mysterious Samurai.
  • Onryoki in this fight does not have his chains, so he only uses attacks from his non-chain form.
  • The Mysterious Samurai is an axe-wielding warrior whose hits are slow but powerful, and he splits Onryoki's attention.
  • When fighting the Flying Bolt, lay into her fast when she appears for an easier time.
  • When fighting the Amrita Fiend, use the doorway as a choke point and attack only after it attacks.
  • You can lure enemies to their deaths by sniping them from the hole before dropping down.
  • You can get additional loot before dropping down the hole near the start.
