Nioh 3 Part 24 walkthrough: Find chests, a Hunter Kodama, and defeat the Great Centipede boss.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
From the air machine (radar (your minimap with nearby blips and threats marked)), go up the first ladder, then another ladder, and circle right to find a small chest on planks below.
  2. 2
Fight the Wheelmonk ahead; block his charges and attack.
  3. 3
Find the Hunter Kodama (which completes the kodama collection for this level) where the Wheelmonk broke through boxes.
  4. 4
Head straight ahead to a small room containing a big chest and Yokai Mist.
  5. 5
Defeat the Sword Fiend in this room to unlock a door for a shortcut.
  6. 6
Return to the main path and fall onto the big rock below, then onto the planks to find another big chest.
  7. 7
Fall down and return to the planks, then head down the tunnel on the right to grab a corpse.
  8. 8
Prepare for the boss encounter by visiting the Kodama Shrine (checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death)) if needed, then drop down into the boss arena.

Boss Encounter: Great Centipede

The Great Centipede is a multi-part boss that scurries and attempts to ram you. You can attack any part of its body to deal damage. Attacking body parts may cause them to split off or turn into Poison Stones, which should be destroyed immediately. The boss will always have at least 3-4 body parts. It may rear up to land on you or spit attacks.

When the Centipede retreats into walls or the floor, destroy any Poison Stones. You can use the Air Machine on the upper level to make the air breathable again. This is also an opportunity to scavenge the 3 corpses scattered around the area.

Boss Moves:

  • Pincer Attack: The Centipede charges with its pincers. It is persistent but can be out-run or countered by blocking and dodging sideways (this consumes Ki faster).
  • Poison Stone: A body part may turn into a Poison Stone when broken off. Destroy these quickly. Use the Air Machine on the upper level if needed.
  • Flop Attack: Occurs when body parts are broken and the Centipede rears up. It attempts to squash you; get behind it or keep distance. Blocking and attacking is possible if you have enough Ki.
  • Poison Spit: While reared up, it spits poison down. Avoid the poison cloud to prevent being poisoned. Use an antidote if necessary.
  • Paralysis Spit: Similar to Poison Spit, but shoots a stream of purple spit that can cause Paralysis. This can lead to a free hit for the boss if you are paralyzed.
  • Tactical Retreat: The Centipede retreats into the floor or walls. It does not regain health but may regain body parts.
Tips
  • Keep healed and have an antidote ready.
  • Destroy Poison Stones as soon as they appear.
  • Use the Air Machine on the upper level if the air becomes unbreathable due to poison.
  • Scavenge corpses during the Centipede's tactical retreats.
