    Head away from the river to find and defeat a patrolling fiend.

    Locate and defeat another patrolling fiend further up.

    Defeat the Dweller near the right house. Loot 4 corpses once all enemies in the area are dead.

    Climb the tree to get on the roof of the building. Walk around the roof to find and kill a Ninja, then loot the corpse.

    Head back down the tree and go to the path leading back towards the start of the map (right of the pond).

    Defeat the Oni Imp standing by the path.

    Approach the gate and defeat the Fiend. Loot the corpse and open the gate to create a shortcut back to the first shrine.

    Return to the locked gate from earlier and use the East Gate Key to open it.

    Inside, loot the corpse behind the tree and find a shrine. Save and restock.

    Exit the shrine and battle the Sentry (the statue enemy). Defeat all four Sentries and the Oni Imp at the top of the area to safely access the big chest.

    Heal up and prepare for the boss fight. Any lightning resistance will be helpful. Head out the gate and into the shrine area on the right.

Boss Encounter: Nue

The Nue is a boss made of various animal parts, resembling a tiger with a snake-like tail, and has an affinity for lightning.

Nue's Attacks and Counters:

  • Lightning Strike: Stay on the move and learn to lead the strikes. There will be four lightning strikes each time. Get in a quick hit and run.
  • Charge Attacks: One charge has lightning following in its wake. The other charge ends with the boss flopping over, exposing its belly. This flop is your chance to do major damage to its weak point. If it doesn't flop, you can get in quick hits on its sides but retreat quickly.
  • Claw Strikes: Can be countered if you have good health and are quick.
  • Lightning Breath: Can be dodged through and countered.

  • Aim for Nue's exposed belly when it flops.
