Defeat Yamata-No-Orochi in Nioh 3. Learn Kelley's moves and the multi-phase strategy for this legendary yokai.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The battle begins against one snake head on a confined portion of the roof.
  2. 2
Deal enough damage to summon a second snake head.
  3. 3
Deal enough damage to the second head to destroy the obstacles, opening up the entire roof.
  4. 4
Each snake head channels one of the game's elements: fire, wind, water, earth, lightning, poison, and paralysis.
  5. 5
Take out each elemental snake head one by one.
  6. 6
Attack when your Ki (stamina) is full and the snake's body is near the edge of the roof.
  7. 7
Get in as many hits as possible, but conserve enough Ki to dash away if needed.
  8. 8
Stay on the move when not attacking to avoid ranged elemental shots.
  9. 9
When only the last snake remains, it will become a "Chaos Snake".
  10. 10
Wait for the Chaos Snake to perform a sweeping attack, then move in to attack.
  11. 11
Continue this pattern until it flops down, signifying victory.
Tips
  • Use any remaining healing and buff items from the previous fight.
  • Go all out in this final battle of the chapter.
  • When Kelley uses his "Get Away" move (Ouroboros Flame/Wind), summon Ouroboros around him and do an area move with wind or fire. Back away, buffing or healing as needed.
  • If Kelley uses Ouroboros Sneak, his guardian goes into the ground and then comes up underneath you. Roll away to avoid damage.
  • Kelley's Ouroboros Throw is his only ranged attack. He summons Ouroboros and throws him. Roll to the side to avoid damage and the electricity status effect, which slows you down.
  • When the snake body swings at you, back away or guard if necessary, which will likely deplete your Ki. You can likely get in easy hits after the swing.
  • Avoid the Elemental Breath by moving back, similar to the Body Swing.
  • The Elemental Shots are the snakes' only real ranged attack, requiring you to move around when not attacking.
