Follow this guide to navigate the Second Area in Pokémon Platinum, team up with Buck against Team Galactic, and find your way to the back room.

Alright, so you've made it to the next big area, and things are about to get interesting! As soon as you head down some stairs, you'll meet a guy named Buck. He's going to team up with you to take on Team Galactic, which is pretty cool. Just like Cheryl and other partners you might have had, Buck will heal up your Pokémon after every single battle. Keep an eye on his Claydol – it's level 53 and likes to use moves like Ancientpower, Reflect, and sometimes Psychic. It's a good backup to have!

Now, let's figure out how to get to the back room. It can be a bit of a maze, but I'll walk you through it:

1. First off, from where you meet Buck, head to the right. You're looking for a set of stairs to go down. Make sure you take the second pair of stairs you come across to reach the bottom floor.
2. Once you're at the bottom, keep moving to the right until the path starts to go upwards. Follow it up until you spot some stairs on your left. Take those stairs going up to the next level.
3. At the top, head north. You'll see another set of stairs on your right, but for now, ignore them. Keep going north until you can't go any further. Then, turn left and head up as soon as you can. Look for some stairs on your left and go down them.
4. You'll reach the bottom again. Head up, and then go left whenever you get the chance. You'll eventually run into a breakable rock. Use Rock Smash on it and keep heading left. When you see the next set of stairs, go down them. Keep going right until you find a boulder. (Just a heads-up, ignore the first set of stairs you see when you first enter this area). Now, you need to push this boulder all the way to the right. Once you've done that, you'll find the second set of stairs. Go up them. At the very top, you'll find the entrance to the back room. Buck will head there too, so follow him in!
