Your guide to Mission 3, 'I Now Know Why You Cry,' in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Learn character recommendations and how to find the sewer entrance.

Alright, let's dive into Mission 3, 'I Now Know Why You Cry.' This one's all about finding a secret Umbrella facility hidden beneath Raccoon City. You'll start right outside the Water Works building, near the Clock Tower. Keep an eye out for ammo boxes scattered around – you'll need 'em!

As soon as you step out into the street, get ready. A massive horde of zombies is going to swarm you. The developers put those ammo boxes there for a reason! This area is super tight, making it easy to get infected, so keep track of the two Antiviral Sprays and the First Aid Spray inside the building. You gotta take out all the zombies here, and thankfully, some Spec Ops soldiers will show up to help you out.

Pro-Tip: If you hang out between the cars, right below the stairs leading to the Water Works building, you can actually see zombies spawning from a dumpster nearby. A player using the Demolition class can drop a fragmentation mine right there and blow them up as they appear!

Once you've cleared out all the undead, head towards the wooden barricade. A burning zombie will smash through it, clearing the path forward. Before you do that though, make sure you grab Intel 1. Just turn around at the very start of the mission and look to the right side of the Water Works building; it's on a railing near the fence.

Recommended Characters for this Mission:

  • Tweed (Demolition Class): Honestly, this mission is made for Tweed. You'll find three spots where she can use C4 to blast open gates. Plus, she can use C4 on a barred door in the foundry for access to extra items! Her Timed Sticky Bomb ability is a lifesaver here, great for clearing out zombie groups or hitting soldiers hiding behind cover later on.
  • Dee-Ay (Assault Class): Dee-Ay is awesome for the final stretch against soldiers. Pop his Super Soldier ability, charge right in, and blast them up close while you're invincible.
  • Harley (Medic Class): Harley's Painkiller ability is super useful when fighting those soldiers at the end. Take a Painkiller, then charge in and blast away. You'll also find plenty of First Aid Sprays scattered throughout the mission.
  • Willow (Recon Class): If you prefer a stealthier approach, Willow's Camouflage ability lets her sneak past soldiers and take them out from behind towards the end.
