Guide to defeating multiple Tyrants, including Super Tyrants, in the Dead Factory mission of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Learn weak points and strategies.
Objective: Neutralize all enemy forces.
A Tyrant will drop into the room during a cutscene. Echo Six will contact Command for help, but it won't arrive until after the first Tyrant is killed.
The first Tyrant fights like other Mr. X-like Tyrants. Blast its head to damage it. As it takes damage, it will kneel and expose its head, allowing you to unload intense firepower. Since it's a single Tyrant and it kneels, it will fall quickly.
Command will contact Echo Six again, informing them that a rail gun is being sent to the factory. The rail gun will eventually drop onto the back raised platform. This rail gun will assist in damaging the next few enemies. It automatically targets nearby enemies and fires.
Another Tyrant will fall through the roof. In total, four Tyrants will attack throughout the second half of this battle. The first Tyrant will fall, then get blasted by the rail cannon and turn into a Super Tyrant. Two more normal Tyrants will then fall into the factory. Eventually, a fourth Tyrant will join the group.
NOTE: The rail gun blasts the Tyrants, damaging them, but it also knocks off their power limiter, causing them to mutate into Super Tyrants. While the rail gun helps, it makes normal Tyrants much worse by weakening them with shots. It will also shoot the Super Tyrants, damaging and eventually killing them. The rail gun is a double-edged sword for this battle, but it helps more than it hurts. The rail gun's shots will likely be the main source of damage against a Super Tyrant.
It's best to focus all firepower on the Super Tyrants. Due to the rail cannon, most normal Tyrants will mutate into Super Tyrants. You'll be lucky if your team can kill a normal Tyrant before it mutates from a rail gun blast, but it can be done! Shoot the exposed hearts on the chest of the Super Tyrants to damage them. There are two grenade launchers in weapon crates around the room, but a grenade launcher doesn't really help during this battle. Just about any other weapon besides the grenade launcher is better since you can pinpoint aim on each Tyrant's weak point.
NOTE: Be very careful about allowing Tyrants to surround your character. They can easily knock a player down, juggle them, and possibly trap them, killing them before they can recover!
There is a --LAPTOP-- on top of a crate off to the right in the back portion of the Dead Factory. There are also tons of item pickups in the factory.
Once all Tyrants are defeated, the mission will end shortly.
