Walkthrough
  1. 1
After speaking with Barry, proceed through the far door to encounter your first zombie. Shoot it until it falls, then shoot it again to ensure it stays down. Collect the clips.
  2. 2
Return to Barry. A zombie will attack, and Barry will deal with it. Proceed to the Main Hall.
  3. 3
Barry will give you a lock pick. Go through the blue doors. In this room, move the steps next to the statue to collect the map, then move the desk to reveal a door.
  4. 4
Enter the revealed door. Deal with the zombie on the floor (either shoot or boot it). Collect the ribbon from the shelf.
  5. 5
Exit and go through the other door. A dog will attack; shoot it. Another dog is around the corner; deal with it similarly.
  6. 6
The first door is a bathroom (ignore unless Chris, then drain water for a cabinet key). Continue down the corridor to two more doors.
  7. 7
The left door contains a shotgun. If Jill, enter to get it (Barry will save you from the trap). If Chris, avoid this room for now.
  8. 8
Through the other door, you'll face two more zombies. Aim high if Jill to practice headshots.
  9. 9
Go through the Grey Door and kill the zombie by the stairs. Collect the green plant if needed.
  10. 10
Enter the next door to find a save room with an Ink Ribbon and two clips. Save your game and store the ribbon. Collect the Ink Ribbon.
  11. 11
Go upstairs. Kill the zombie to your left, then the one behind you. Proceed through the door at the end of the corridor.
  12. 12
Shoot the zombie and enter the small study. Examine the Botany book, then leave.
  13. 13
Continue down the corridor, past the green doors you can't enter yet. Shoot another zombie.
  14. 14
Go through the unlocked door, returning to the Main Hall. Barry will give Jill bazooka ammo.
  15. 15
Find the bazooka in the door next to the one you just exited, guarded by crows. Investigate the body to find the bazooka (Chris gets clips). Do not kill the crows.
  16. 16
Exit and go across the hall to the other door, leading to the balcony above the Dining Room. Kill the two zombies.
  17. 17
Push the stone statue off the balcony and go through the far door. Kill the two zombies by the stairs and go down.
  18. 18
Kill the two zombies at the bottom of the stairs and go through the door. This is a save room. If Chris, you'll meet Rebecca; agree to her help for later benefits. Collect the Ink Ribbon (Chris gets a key) and save.
  19. 19
Exit and proceed down the corridor, encountering another zombie.
  20. 20
The door on your right contains items (clip, shotgun shells, rusty shotgun for Chris) but cannot be entered yet.
  21. 21
Go through the other door, shoot the zombies, and head down the narrow corridor to the plant room.
  22. 22
Use the Earth from the pump to kill the plant and collect the key behind it. Use green plants if injured.
  23. 23
Return to the rusty shotgun room and collect the items (Chris uses the rusty shotgun to get the regular shotgun).
  24. 24
Go back through the doors and turn right.
  25. 25
Enter the bedroom on the right. Collect the clip from the bed. A zombie will burst from the cupboard when you investigate the desk.
Tips
  • Aiming high is effective for headshots, especially with Jill.
  • Conserve ammunition when possible, especially against zombies you can avoid or finish with melee.
  • The cabinet key (Chris) and the shotgun are important early pickups.
  • Remember the save room location for future use.
  • If playing as Chris, accepting Rebecca's help is beneficial.
