ENTERING THE TUNNELS (4)

Guide to entering the tunnels in Resident Evil, detailing enemy encounters, item locations, and puzzle solutions to progress through this challenging section of the game.

Walkthrough:

1. After speaking with Barry, proceed through the far door to encounter your first zombie. Shoot it until it falls, then aim down and shoot it again to make it stand up. Collect the clips.
2. Return to Barry. A zombie will burst in; Barry will handle it. Proceed to the Main Hall.
3. Barry will give you a lock pick. Go through the blue doors.
4. In the next room, move the steps next to the statue to collect the map. Move the desk away from the door and enter.
5. Deal with the zombie on the floor (either shoot it or boot its head off). Collect the ribbon on the shelf and exit.
6. Go through the other door. A dog will attack; shoot it.
7. Around the corner, another dog will attack; shoot it and exit through the door.
8. The first door is a bathroom (ignore unless Chris, then drain water for a cabinet key).
9. Continue down the corridor to two doors. The left door leads to the shotgun (Jill can get it and be saved by Barry; Chris should avoid it for now).
10. Go through the other door to face two more zombies.
11. Go through the Grey Door, kill the zombie by the stairs, and collect the green plant.
12. Enter the adjacent door to find a save room with an Ink Ribbon and a chest containing 2 clips. Save your game and deposit items. Collect the Ink Ribbon.
13. Exit and go up the stairs. Kill the zombie to your left and the one behind you.
14. Go through the door at the end of the corridor, shoot the zombie, and enter the small study. Examine the Botany book and leave.
15. Continue down the corridor, past the green doors you cannot enter yet. Shoot another zombie.
16. Go through the unlocked door. You are back in the Main Hall.
17. If Jill, Barry will give you bazooka ammo. Find the bazooka in the door next to yours, guarded by crows. Investigate the body to find the bazooka (Chris finds clips). Do not kill the crows.
18. Exit and go across the hall to the other door.
19. You are on the balcony above the Dining Room; kill the two zombies. Push the stone statue off the balcony and go through the far door.
20. Kill the two zombies by the stairs and go down. Kill the two more zombies at the bottom.
21. Enter the save room. (If Chris, you meet Rebecca; agree to let her help for medicine). Collect the Ink Ribbon (Chris gets a key) and save.
22. Exit and continue down the corridor, encountering another zombie.
23. The door on your right contains items (clip, shotgun shells, rusty shotgun for Chris) but cannot be entered yet.
24. Go through the other door, shoot the zombies, and head down the narrow corridor towards the plant room.
