The Bulletproof Vest is a new item in Silent Hill 3 that can be worn to limit incoming damage from enemies and bosses by approximately 15%. However, this comes at the cost of mobility, slowing Heather's running and turning speeds. It also removes your ability to strafe (though you can still sidestep). You must decide if this tradeoff is worth it.
