PUZZLE: SHAKESPEARE ANTHOLOGY (MY BESTSELLERS BOOKSTORE) [puz_01]

Solve the Shakespeare Anthology puzzle in Silent Hill 3's My Bestsellers Bookstore. Includes solutions for Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulties.

Easy Difficulty:

1. No clue will be present by the back door.
2. Examine the books on the shelf where the others fell; you will see numbers drawn on their spines, but two are missing.
3. Place SHAKESPEARE ANTHOLOGY 1 in the first slot.
4. Use the cursor to select the next book in the blue box, SHAKESPEARE ANTHOLOGY 3, and place it in the open third slot.
5. This will reveal the complete code, which is random each time.

Normal Difficulty:

1. The clue by the door reads: "Fair is foul, and foul is fair. Put these books out of order."
2. Arrange the five books (SHAKESPEARE ANTHOLOGY 1 through 5) on the shelf in a random order, not their numbered sequence, to reveal partial numbers on their spines.
3. Note where the code on different books potentially lines up.
4. Place the books beside each other, slowly revealing the code until you can assemble it in the correct order.
5. Click a book to remove it and add it back from the small box in the corner.
6. Once done, the randomized code will be displayed.

Hard Difficulty:

1. This riddle requires outside knowledge of Shakespeare's works contained within the anthologies.
2. Examine each anthology in your inventory to identify the Shakespeare work it contains:
• Shakespeare Anthology 1: Romeo and Juliet
• Shakespeare Anthology 2: King Lear
• Shakespeare Anthology 3: Macbeth
• Shakespeare Anthology 4: Hamlet
• Shakespeare Anthology 5: Othello
3. The riddle provides verses that describe the plots of these works. You must place the books on the shelf in the order corresponding to the descriptions.
4. The first verse, "In here is a tragedy--- art thou player or audience? Be as it may, the end doth remain: all go on only toward death," serves as an introduction.
5. The verse "The first words at thy left hand: a false lunacy, a madly dancing man. Hearing unhearable words, drawn to a beloved's grave---and there, mayhap, true madness at last" describes the plot of Hamlet. Place SHAKESPEARE ANTHOLOGY 4 in the first slot.
