Getting the Key Under the Skid

Need the Key Taken With Tongs in Silent Hill 3? Follow this guide to find the Tongs in Helen's Bakery and use them to retrieve the key.

Alright, so we're back in a regular mall section. Just head straight ahead and duck into Helen's Bakery. Right when you walk in, you'll see a pair of TONGS sitting on the counter next to some pastries. Grab those – they're exactly what we need for that tricky key we saw earlier.

There's a flyer on the other counter if you want to read it, but honestly, it's not important for the game.

Now, head back to the north hallway. You need to go back into that storeroom where we couldn't reach the key before. It's the last door on the right. Use the TONGS you just picked up to grab the KEY TAKEN WITH TONGS from under that skid.

When you examine the key, you'll see a tag that says "My Bestsellers." Sounds like a bookstore, right? Head back to the office hall. Watch out, some Numb Bodies have shown up, so get past them and make your way back to the main mall area.

Once you're back in the mall, take a right. You'll see a Closer ahead, but just run past it. Look up – there's a "My Bestsellers" sign over what looks like a bookstore. There's another Closer hanging around, but ignore it and hurry into the bookstore with the KEY TAKEN WITH TONGS.

Pro-Tip: If you're playing an Extra New Game, keep an eye out in Helen's Bakery. The FLAMETHROWER will be lying on the counter there, but only after you've unlocked it by finishing the game with more shooting than fighting kills, or just by beating it twice. The flyer in the bakery also gets a little update in this mode.
