Silent Hill 3 Hard difficulty features tougher enemies, less ammo, and more challenging puzzles. Learn all the changes.

Enemies: Enemies are more common and stronger, requiring 10-15 bullets to drop. They are faster, inflict more damage, and grab you for longer. You will almost always need to kick downed enemies multiple times with melee weapons or the Shotgun. Melee weapons will deflect off walls.

Boss Fights: Boss fights last much longer due to increased health.

Supplies: Supplies are less abundant. You always have to manually reload in-game or in your inventory.

Heather's Movement: When running at full speed, Heather will stumble and bump into walls and doors. You can fall down holes while running if not careful and if you don't pull back while teetering on the edge.

Specific Dangers: Heather can be insta-killed by the Split Worm's special attack if not careful. In the Borley Haunted Mansion, you must lower yourself by holding R2 to avoid getting hit by spikes. In an Extra New Game, the opening hallways of the Underpass will drain Heather's health but will not kill her.

Riddle Level: This setting determines the complexity of puzzles, including written riddles and item requirements for progression.
