    Wild Forest: Arrive and Neera will greet you. Add her to your party. Disable AI scripts on spellcasting companions as magic here can cause wild surges. Keep trap detection enabled. Head northeast, avoiding Quaid the gnome. Remove the trap from his cart for gems and a scroll. Disable another trap. Ignore the Speaking Snake. Reach the northeast corner and cross the illusory broken bridge. Each party member receives 2000XP. Select the Hidden Refuge from the world map.

    Hidden Refuge: Approach the gates; Neera will open them. Speak to Hayes and Telana. Telana explains the Order of Eight Staves and the Red Wizards hunting Wild Mages. Explore the camp for sidequests.

    Telana's Quest: Convince Daxus Taralom from Delosar's Inn (Bridge District) to come to the refuge. Search the box behind Telana for a Wakizashi +1.

    Mironda's Quest: Fetch special ale from Vyatri in Trademeet. A scroll is in the box next to her.

    Barad Ding's Quest: Find his eight lost cats in the Wild Forest. Equip cat food from quick use slot to catch them. Beware of traps and low-level monsters. An illusory Ettin and Gnolls in the northwest drop Silver Necklaces (needed for Hearthstone Talismans). Alternate saves as cats can bug out. Return cats to Barad Ding in the refuge. Reward: Collar Bell. If your PC is a Mage/Sorcerer, you can refuse Dings the cat.

    Zaviak's Quest: If you left Wilson at the Heretic Temple, fetching him takes three in-game days. Reward: five Green Dragon Potions (considered poor).

    Knocktor the Fizzled: To construct a Hearthstone Talisman for Daxus Taralom, you need a Silver Necklace, two Diamonds, and 3000G. Buy Diamonds from Bernard if needed. Silver Necklaces can be found from the Gnolls in the northwest Wild Forest.

    Mereth's Quest: Find her lost hairband in the Bridge District (where she was rescued).

    Amanis Khal's Quest: Speak to her to trigger her son Kirik's sidequest later.

    Reginald: Speak to him in the east of the camp. He will attack you without turning hostile. Speak to him twice after he stops to gain his approval.

    Kirik's Quest: Find Kirik in the northwest corner of the Wild Forest by the river. Return to the Hidden Refuge. Agree to let Kirik use wild magic for a Shield of Fyrus Khal +2 and 3500XP. Forbid him to use wild magic for a Wild Sling +1 and 3500XP.

    Trademeet: Leave the Hidden Refuge and travel to Trademeet to buy the ale for Mironda.

  • Do not cast magic in the Wild Forest due to wild surge effects. Disable AI scripts on spellcasting companions.
  • Neera is an inferior Mage to Edwin and cannot be in the same party. Her competition is Imoen and Nalia.
  • Keep trap detection enabled in the Wild Forest.
  • Be cautious of traps and low-level enemies in the Wild Forest.
  • Save frequently when collecting cats, as they can disappear from inventory.
