Takoma Industrial

Navigate the Takoma Industrial area in Fallout 3. This guide details finding key items, defeating Super Mutants and Talon Company, and uncovering secrets within the factory and surrounding areas.

Walkthrough:

1. Head through Vernon East/Takoma Park Metro (Vernon Square East on map) north-east of Vernon Square. Go west to find a ticket booth with a copy of Lying, Congressional Style.
2. Continue west, kill Super Mutants in the metro hub. Go to the lower level. To continue to Takoma Park, go east. To get extra loot, go west.
3. If going west, head onto the train track, disarm Frag Mines, and disarm a shotgun trap on a pressure plate. Take the Combat Shotgun. Head south to a small dwelling with a bed, an [Average] safe, and a Nuka-Cola Quantum.
4. Return to the metro hub and take the tunnel east. Kill the Mirelurks. Sneak before exiting to Takoma Park.
5. Emerge from the metro. Head east; cars will explode, and Super Mutants will approach from the west. Prioritize the Super Mutant with the Missile Launcher, especially if it's an Overlord. Avoid the rigged baby carriage.
6. Enter Nifty Thrifty for minor loot, including the unique Takoma Park Little Leaguer Cap.
7. Head uphill west, grabbing items from a Nuka-Cola Vending Machine, refrigerator, and food scattered around.
8. Kill Super Mutants on the hill to the north. Loot their tent for first aid boxes, ammo boxes, and access to a bed.
9. Continue northeast uphill to a dead end, then north through a house. Keep going past a fence to the north until you reach a large, fenced factory building. Super Mutants and Talon Company Mercenaries will be fighting; this is Takoma Industrial.
10. Let the Super Mutants and Talon Company fight. Pick off survivors. Enter the factory.
11. Go up the stairs to the east to find a Super Mutant and a door leading outside. On a small balcony, find a dead Talon Company Mercenary with a Sniper Rifle.
12. Return inside and go up the stairs to the west, then north. Jump over the railing to the north and go down a ladder/ramp to a small landing. Go around the generator to find a Nuka-Cola Quantum in a wooden crate.
13. Return south to the raised central area. Find two ammo boxes, a first aid box, and a rigged computer.
14. On the ground floor, kill enemies and head north, then east through a door. Loot your way east up more stairs to a small room with bookshelves. Find a copy of Lying, Congressional Style and mundane loot.
15. Backtrack to the room to the west, go up the stairs, and exit via the northernmost exit on the area map back to Takoma Park.
16. Behind the factory, head down stairs. Travel east along a narrow path, disarming a tripwire.
17. In the water to the north, use a fallen support tower to cross to the opposite ledge. Continue north between two buildings, then east to an irradiated
