Alright, welcome to Fallout 3! We're kicking things off right in Vault 101 with the very first step: customizing your character. Don't stress too much about getting it perfect right away, as you'll have another chance later, but getting a good start here will make things smoother.

First things first, you'll go through your birth and a quick tutorial on walking. Once you have control, look for the "You're SPECIAL!" book lying on the floor. Go ahead and activate it. You'll be able to flip through the pages and assign your core attributes: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck. When you get to the end, you'll finalize your choices.

Don't sweat it if you feel like you messed up; remember, you can tweak everything about your character at the end of the prologue. After you're done with the book, your dad will show up and mention the Bible passage Revelation 21:6. Just follow him out into the hall, and time will jump forward again.
