Chosen King

Defeated Ifrit on Normal difficulty. Difficulty can be changed at any time in Options > Difficulty. You can play the story on Easy and change to Normal just before the fight.

Learner’s Permit

Drove the Regalia. The Regalia is your vehicle. Your first opportunity to drive it is upon leaving Hammerhead. If refused, the next opportunity is in Chapter 3 when choosing the Manual option upon entering the vehicle.

Chocobo Jockey

Rode a Chocobo. Chocobos become available in Chapter 3 in the Duscae region. Complete the Friends of a Feather sidequest after Prompto asks to go to Wiz Chocobo Post. This unlocks the ability to rent Chocobos for up to seven in-game days from outposts. A Chocobo Whistle summons a rented Chocobo.

Regalia Pilot

Flew the Regalia Type-F. This upgrade is available after completing the main story. It requires three items: Warped Wings and Unstable Stabilizer (from Imperial bases in Chapters 5 and 6), and Strange Engine (from infiltrating Formouth Garrison northwest of Hammerhead). Postgame infiltration triggers the Into the Unknown sidequest to get the Type-F from Cindy. Press Circle/B after gaining enough speed to take off. Warning: The Type-F is fragile; crashing results in Game Over. Save before and after flying.

Quadruple Threat

Equipped four weapon slots. This can be done as soon as you reach Hammerhead. You start with three weapons; buy another from the vendor near Cindy (after receiving her gift of 1,000 gil) and equip it.

Faithful Heir

Collected thirteen royal arms. There are 13 Royal Arms in total. 7 are obtained during the main story, and 6 must be found separately. Refer to the Royal Arms Locations page for their locations.

Ability-Related Trophies/Achievements

The Ascension grid powers up Noctis and friends using Ability Points (AP). AP is gained from combat actions, conversation choices, camping, and riding the Regalia (with specific Exploration nexus nodes purchased). Nodes range from 8 AP to 999 AP. For ability-related trophies, aim for nodes costing less than 333 AP.
