Sidequests and Super Weapons (Part 2)

Find the Dominator greatsword and Dragoon Lance in final fantasy xv. Learn strategies for defeating Sir Tonberry and Phalaris.

Dominator

Travel to the Alstor Slough Parking Spot and head north-west into the wilderness towards a radio tower. Follow a trail to an outpost where you will find the Dominator greatsword near a building. This weapon has holy attributes, effective against daemons.

Dragoon Lance

From the Coernix Station - Cauthess parking spot, follow the road north and then west. When you see a crater to the north, head directly south into a small valley. Look for a harvesting spot for Wild Onions and Voretooths. Once cleared, find an upper area accessible by jumping to locate the treasure spot containing the Dragoon Lance.

Diamond Bracelet

The closest parking spot is Taelpar Rest Area. Ride east and just outside the tunnel, look for a path to your right. Next to a broken-down car, you will find the Diamond Bracelet accessory.

Champion's Anklet

Go to the Cauthess Rest Area and head southeast towards a large crater. Near the fishing spot called The Archaean’s Mirror, look beside a large rock to find the Champion's Anklet.

Legend Wrapped in an Enigma

This quest requires you to wait until night. Travel to The Fallgrove parking spot and head to the Tomb of the Tall to face two “Sir Tonberry” foes. These enemies have 372,000 Hit Points and are weak to daggers and holy, but strong against greatswords, fire, ice, and lightning. Magic is not very effective. The Ultima Blade is recommended, focusing on parries and Linkstrikes. Sir Tonberries frequently use a stabby move requiring a block prompt, and have two lightsaber combos. Play defensively, counter their attacks, and use Phoenix Downs and Mega Phoenixes as needed. Utilize techniques, Armiger, and summons. Upon defeat, return to Randolph for the Ziedrich.

Cursed Legend

Speak to Randolph for the “Cursed Legend” quest. Travel to the Cauthess Rest Area, then head north-west past an imperial fort and south to Fallaughns Haven Campground. From there, head south-west past a crater to find the Phalaris. This foe is a stronger version of the Kujata, large, slow, and powerful. Be wary of its attacks, as one or two hits can cause Danger status. Its side roll attack cannot be phased through, so warp away. Its charge and gore attack can be blocked and countered. Use its slow movement to get behind it for Blindside Links, and employ techniques and Armiger. Upon defeating the Phalaris, you will receive a Resplendent Hollowhorn. Return this to Randolph for the Soul Saber. This sword gains power as Noctis’s Stamina decreases.
