Questing Cleigne (Old Lestallum)

Begin by heading to Takka’s quest, “Everyone Loves Beans”. Drive to the quest location, exit the Regalia, and proceed north-west to find the car.

You will encounter Havocfangs. These enemies are physically superior to Sabertusks and Voretooths. They can inflict poison and confusion (which reverses movement controls, randomly switches weapons, and causes companions to act erratically) by roaring. Defeat them to secure the beans.

Next, drive north to the Tollhends Stronghold Parking Spot. From there, take a road south-west to a bridge. Exit your Regalia and head offroad north to find Tabby’s Tackle Shack.

At Tabby’s Tackle Shack, you can purchase fishing lures and the Galatea reel for 3,400 Gil. The Butterfly Edge rod is also available for 3,500 Gil, though you will receive one for free later.

Test your skills at the nearby Rachsia Bridge Fishing Spot.

Return to your Regalia and drive to the Old Lestallum Parking Spot. This location is added to your map after gaining intel from restaurateurs in Lestallum.

Visit the Crow’s Nest Diner in Old Lestallum to update your map with new Campgrounds, Parking Spots, and Outposts. You can learn “Kenny’s Secret Recipe” by purchasing Kenny’s “Special” Salmon for 7,200 Gil.

Consider taking on the hunt “The Last Spiracorns” to defeat two Duplicorns and three Spiracorns. Sturdy Helixhorns dropped by Duplicorns are required for Cid to upgrade your Engine Blade III into an Ultima Blade.

Explore the JM Market in Old Lestallum. Purchasing Fine Gighee Ham (400 Gil) will inspire Ignis to create “Charcuterie on Toast”. Buying an Alstroom (200 Gil) will inspire the “Triple Truffle Risotto” recipe. Purchase the Key Item Iron Shelf Recipes, Vol. 1 for 200 Gil to teach Ignis the “Egg-Fried Crustacean Bowl” recipe.
