Complete Navyth's fishing sidequests in final fantasy xv, including how to catch the Devil of the Cygillan for the Tranquility rod.
Walkthrough
- 1Find Navyth at Neeglyss Pond south of the Coernix Station - Alstor in Duscae. He challenges you to catch a Crag Barrmundi. Use the Sweet Jamming: Custard lure and aim for yellow spots at the Neeglyss Pond Fishing Spot.
- 2After completing “Fishing Buddies,” head to the Wennath Riverhead Parking Spot (south-west of Lestallum). Park the Regalia and go down stairs to the Wennath River. Follow it north to the River Wennath Fishing Spot to find Navyth. He wants a Cherrycomb Trout, which only bite at dawn (5:00-8:00) and dusk (16:00-19:00). Use the Whiskers: Crystal lure and aim for flashing yellow dots.
- 3After finishing “Fishing, Naturally” and completing Chapter 7, proceed to Chapter 8’s starting quest “A Precious Source of Power.” Then, find Navyth on the southern shore of The Vesperpool (between Myrlwood dungeon and Capitis Haven Campground), near The Vesperpool - West Bank Fishing Spot. Catch a Vesper Gar using Super Baleen line and Stinker: Malboro or Stinker: Malbodoom lures. Aim for flashing yellow dots.
- 4After completing “Navyth’s Challenge,” talk to Navyth near Galdin Quay. Head to the Vannath Coast Fishing Spot during the day. Catch the “Devil of the Cygillan” (a Murk Grouper) using Dragon’s Whisker line and the Burrower: Abyss Worm lure. Aim for flashing blue dots. This quest is best attempted after visiting Altissia to acquire the Llymlaen reel from Totomostro, and ideally with Fishing skill level ten, the Death Spin rod, and Nereid reel.
