Explore Ostium Gorge in final fantasy xv, find Mystery Map IV, and learn about the Regalia's shop and fast travel options.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Hop into the Regalia and select "Manual" driving. Drive east, south-east down the highway towards a Parking Spot north of "Ostium Gorge" on your map. You cannot go off-road or hit pedestrians.
  2. 2
Ignis will temporarily take over driving duties until the end of Chapter 1. After this, you can choose to drive manually or let Ignis drive (Auto).
  3. 3
When Ignis drives, you can choose to fast-travel to your destination for 10 Gil. If you decline, you will get a scenic drive. Ignis can drive to Parking Spots, Quest Locations, and Map Points.
  4. 4
Ignis will not drive at night due to the presence of Daemons.
  5. 5
If you must leave the Regalia, you can summon it to you for 100 Gil via the map screen's "Call Car" option. Alternatively, you can have it towed to the Hammerhead outpost for 100 Gil using the "Tow Car" option.
  6. 6
You can shop using the Regalia by selecting the "Shop" menu. Current stock includes Potions (50 Gil), Hi-Potions (100 Gil), Elixirs (400 Gil), Hi-Elixirs (800 Gil), Phoenix Downs (1,000 Gil), Antidotes (10 Gil), Gighee Ham (30 Gil), Luncheon Meat (100 Gil), Birdbeast Eggs (20 Gil), Sheep Milk (10 Gil), Anak Meat (80 Gil), Leiden Potatoes (40 Gil), Funguar (80 Gil), Chocobeans (100 Gil), Leiden Peppers (20 Gil), Sweet Peppers (50 Gil), Bronze Bangles (500 Gil), and Soldier's Anklets (1,000 Gil).
  7. 7
Park the Regalia at the Ostium Gorge Parking Spot. Continue east, south-east through the abandoned Insomnia checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death).
  8. 8
Loot can be found around the car graveyard. Near the barricade blocking the road, south-west of the gate and behind a red wall, is a trash pile containing an Iron Bangle, which boosts maximum HP by 100.
  9. 9
Search the north-western end of the walled-off area for a dark square object with a Mystery Map on it. Interacting with it starts the quest "Scraps of Mystery IV." This quest is suggested for a much higher level.
  10. 10
Exit the enclosure and head north-west along the fence. Find a doorway and descend several flights of stairs to a ladder leading down into the Cresholm Channels. This starts the "Crestholm Channels" quest, but the monsters within are overwhelmingly powerful and should be avoided for now.
  11. 11
Return to the road and head north-west, following a fence. Where the fence terminates, turn north-east, jump over a concrete barrier and off a ledge. Turn south-east down three flights of stairs to reach a dock.
  12. 12
This dock is a Fishing Spot at the Crestholm Reservoir. You can practice fishing here. Along the way to the dock, you may find unmarked loot spots containing Spider Silk and a random lure.
  13. 13
To fish, go to the end of the dock and press X/A. Use the Left Analog stick to aim your cast. Yellow dots on the fishing map indicate food fish, while blue dots indicate fish that yield other components. Flashing dots indicate a new type of fish.
Tips
  • The Regalia is your primary long-distance transportation.
  • You can customize the Regalia by returning it to Cindy.
  • Daemons are powerful enemies that can force you to stop driving at night.
  • The "Call Car" and "Tow Car" options both cost 100 Gil.
  • The Regalia's shop stock will expand as you progress through the game.
  • The Cresholm Channels are too dangerous to explore early in the game.
  • Most Fishing Spots have a line and a random lure nearby, but bait shops offer a better selection of supplies.
