Complete The Perfect Cup (Shrimp Variant) in final fantasy xv by defeating the Rogue Karlabos and resting at a campground. Rewards 4,000 EXP.

If you told Gladiolus your favorite ingredient was “Shrimp” during the quest “A Need for Noodles”, head south-west from the Cape Caem Outpost marker and into the wooded land north of the beacon.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
    Dispatch some Shieldshears.
  2. 2
Continue west to find a Karlabos, referred to as a “Rogue Karlabos” if you are on the quest.
  3. 3
Defeat the Karlabos. Its attacks include spraying fluid from its tail in a short-range burst or a long-range line, and leaping on prey to attack with its claws. Its attacks are generally easily dodged or blocked and countered.
  4. 4
If you are on the quest “The Perfect Cup”, rest at a campground to finish the quest after defeating the Karlabos.
Tips
  • Killing the Karlabos will yield Karlabos Claws, useful for recipes.
  • The Karlabos can inflict immense damage.

Make your way to the Cape Caem hideout and talk to Iris, who is standing on the porch of the Hidden Getaway house. She will tell you about her garden.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Head over to the field and interact with the soil to plant the Caem Carrots.
  2. 2
Rest for the carrots to grow.
  3. 3
    Gather the carrots.
  4. 4
Complete side quests to replenish the soil.
  5. 5
Trade carrots with a restaurant owner named Tony for rewards.
  6. 6
Talk to Iris at Cape Caem to learn that the garden is ready for planting.
  7. 7
Plant seeds and rest overnight to grow some Caem Carrots.
Tips
  • The soil becomes “impoverished” after two crops and is replenished by completing side quests.
  • You can trade between one and four carrots at a time.
  • The number of carrots harvested per crop varies between two and five, depending on the weather.
  • Rewards for trading carrots: 1 Carrot = 500 Gil, 2 Carrots = Ulwaat Berries, 3 Carrots = Auto Part (character decals), 4 Carrots = Weapon (Force Stealer, Absorb Shield, Valiant, Plunderers).
  • The elemental-absorbing weapons can be upgraded by Cid.
  • Prioritize getting the weapons, then Ulwaat Berries, and finally the decals.

Once you have the Ulwaat Berries, return to Galdin Quay and talk to Coctura - the proprietor of the Mother of Pearl restaurant.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Trade Caem Carrots for Ulwaat Berries (two carrots yield Ulwaat Berries).
  2. 2
Hand over the Ulwaat Berries to Coctura to finish the quest.
Tips
  • Ulwaat Berries are required for the quest “Berried Memories”.
  • Trading two Caem Carrots for some Ulwaat Berries allows you to give them to Coctura to get access to a new meal.

When you’re done messing around with carrots (for now at least) head into the the Hidden Getaway house and talk to Talcott, who will profess his love of Cactuars…
