Final Fantasy XV: Finish Chapter 8 Quests

Alright, you've made it to the end of Chapter 8 in Final Fantasy XV! It's time to tie up some loose ends before you head off to Altissia. Think of this as your final checklist to make sure you haven't missed anything crucial.

A Better Force Stealer

First things first, remember that Monster Claw you picked up? Head back to Cape Caem and hand it over to Cid at the workshop. He'll get to work upgrading your Force Stealer. While he's busy with that, it's the perfect time to knock out any lingering hunts you might have put off. Some quests are just easier to tackle when you've got better gear or more experience under your belt. Once Cid's finished, swing by to pick up your newly upgraded Force Stealer II. You'll get a nice chunk of EXP (800) for your trouble, plus the improved weapon.

The Hatchening

While you're waiting for that sword upgrade (and probably still doing hunts, let's be honest), you might get a call from Wiz. If you've rested enough, he'll let you know that the black Chickabo has hatched! To finish off this little questline, just head back to the Wiz Chocobo Outpost and pay the little guy a visit. The reward for saving the Black Chickabo is a hefty 2,500 EXP.

With those tasks done, you're officially finished with side quests for now. There are still some out there, like Navyth's fishing invitation or quests in places like Costlemark Tower and Crestholm Channels, but trust me, you'll want to come back to those later when you're stronger and have better gear. For now, you've conquered major areas like The Rock of Ravatogh, The Vesperpool, Myrlwood, and Malmalam Thicket. That's a huge accomplishment!

Setting Sail for Altissia

It's time to move on with the main story. Boarding the boat will take you to Altissia. Before you head down to the docks, make sure you've done everything you want to do. Use the elevator at the lighthouse to reach the boat. You'll see Umbra one last time before you go; this is your chance to send another message to Luna. Once you're at the bottom of the elevator, head down the stairs. There's a short scene, and you'll have a chance to grab a Hi-Potion around the corner before you talk to Cor. After speaking with Cor, you'll receive a Magic Flask. Then, finally, board the boat to officially end Chapter 8. Sailing to Altissia nets you another 1,000 EXP.
