- 1Clear the initial perimeter by defeating heroes in the surrounding water, barricading the blue keeper, and securing the Horned Reaper (8). Dig out nearby gold to find two Imps (10). Build a training room for Dragons/Mistresses. Place the "Increase Level" special found east of your Heart for safekeeping. Sacrifice weaker creatures like Demon Spawn or antropods for Mistresses/Bile Demons or research speed.
- 2Research "Invisibility" and build a Guard Post (a structure that prevents creatures from entering your dungeon) on a tile southwest of your Heart, near the water. This creates a height advantage that non-flying creatures cannot overcome. This tactic prevents enemies from reaching your dungeon heart, causing them to wander aimlessly.
- 3Build a bridge south from the Guard Post and sell the connecting tile to break the link with your dungeon, allowing archers to bypass the Guard Post via the bridge. Use a "Conceal" Imp to dig through the impenetrable rock southwest to reach the Horned Reaper (8). Once freed, the Reaper will eliminate nearby dwarfs and archers.
- 4Build a bridge to the southern earth sections and fortify the walls, leaving the bridge intact to maintain the path. Do the same for the earth tile leading to the green keeper and fortify the walls dug to reach the Reaper.
- 5Dig east, below the impenetrable rock to the right of your Portal, to find two more Imps (7). Continue along the outer wall to find a "Reveal Map" special; use it immediately. Dig and fortify space from the blue keeper to prevent expansion. You can use "Lightning" on Imps if the blue keeper lacks a graveyard and your gold is sufficient. Dig a path to the blue keeper's Library and fortify it for future direct access to their Heart using "Destroy Walls", bypassing their boulder traps.
- 6Seal off both rival keepers. Head west to the Gem tile. You only need to fight two hero groups; leave others for later. Consider placing Boulder traps near hero locations before engaging.
- 7Build the largest treasure room possible around the Gem tile and have 6 high-level Imps dig. Expand the training room and level up creatures. In the southwest pocket, defeat Archers and a Samurai to find the first "Steal Hero" special. Prioritize the Samurai.
- 8In the optional hero dungeon to the east, containing Giants and Archers, place Boulder traps near the entrance and break down the door. The northern room has an "Increase Level" special surrounded by Lava traps, and the southern room has a "Make Safe" special. Collect gold pots to boost your balance.
- 9In the northeastern room, defeat 2 Archers (8) with high-level Mistresses and the Horned Reaper. Eliminate all heroes in the back room, including Archers, Wizards, and Samurai, and dismantle all traps.
