Warlock Traits:

• Great researchers and scavengers.
• Cannot manufacture items.
• Arrogant and easily annoyed.
• Gain a small amount of experience from sleeping near a treasure room.
• Level 2+ Warlocks will drive out non-Warlock/Wizard creatures from the Library during research, even those just passing through.
• Large groups of Warlocks can incite revolts and spread unhappiness.

Research and Behavior:

In earlier levels, Warlocks are crucial for research, with higher-leveled ones researching the fastest. However, upon reaching level 2, they use their Fireball attack to remove any non-worthy researchers from the Library, even affecting Horned Reapers. If Warlocks become angry, they can be appeased by walking around the Temple fountain or by giving them gold.

Combat and Alternatives:

High-level Warlocks are potent long-range fighters. While hero Witches, Wizards, and Fairies offer similar long-range attacks and are easier to maintain, they can be harder to acquire. After level six, further Warlock training may become unnecessary. The spells Wind and Sight are considered less useful, though Word-of-Power (level 10) has potential for shorter-range combat.

Late-Game Conflicts:

In later levels, Warlocks may conflict with Vampires. A common tactic is to eliminate Warlocks one by one in the graveyard to potentially gain Vampires from their remains, though this may not always be the ideal solution.
