Learn about the Monk trait in Dungeon Keeper, a balanced fighter and spell caster with slow movement, ideal for Temple areas.

Some consider the Monk the religious and sacred counterpart of the Vampire. However, one-on-one, a Vampire should be able to win a battle against a Monk on the same height. Otherwise, Monks can be serious problems, as the highest level versions learn Word-of-Power, which packs a serious punch to all surrounding creatures (enemies within range of the spell).

Converting one of these creatures might be a wise decision. Monks are quite good in battle, offering a more balanced trade-off between power and spells than all previous heroes, and they have relatively little costs attached to them.

Tips
  • Monks are slow moving.
  • Monks love to be in and around the Temple.
  • Higher level Monks learn Word-of-Power, a powerful area-of-effect spell.
  • Consider converting Monks due to their balanced combat abilities and low cost.
