Chocobo Forest: Beginner
- Location: Southwest of Shumi Village, against the mountains.

Enter the forest and talk to Chocoboy. Pay 1,000G for instructions.

Use ChocoSonar (Press SQUARE, select 'To detect: ChocoSonar', hold CIRCLE) to find activity.

Use ChocoZiner (Press SQUARE, select 'To detect: ChocoZiner', press CIRCLE) to lure out a Chicobo and its mother. The target location is up and to the right of Chocoboy.

Search for hidden treasure by walking to a specific spot (upper right side of the forest) and pressing CIRCLE. The Chocobo will dig up an Aura Stone.

After finding the treasure, talk to Chocoboy. He will give you a Chicobo (named Boko by default) which can be used for Chocobo World.

Once a treasure is found, the Chocobo will remain in the forest for future use.

Chocobo Forest: Sorbald Snowfield
- Location: On the larger landmass of Trabia, west along the coast from the beach, then south.

Enter the forest and use ChocoSonar in the center of the screen, just above the tree's shadow.

Use ChocoZiner to summon three Chicobos.

Move down a few steps and use ChocoZiner again to scare off two Chicobos, leaving one.

Interact with the lone Chicobo to lure out the Chocobo.

Search for treasure at the left-most edge of the forest. Use ChocoZiner there to acquire a Flare Stone.

Chocobo Forest: Bika Snowfield
- Location: East from the Sorbald Snowfield forest, around the mountains north of the remains of Trabia Garden.

Enter the forest. Two Chicobos are present.

Use ChocoZiner near the Chicobo by the Chocoboy.

Head up and to the right and use ChocoZiner again.

Go down the path leading out of the forest and use ChocoSonar to find another spot. Use ChocoZiner there to bring another Chicobo near the exit.

Return to the spot just right of the Chocoboy and use ChocoZiner again.

Interact with the Chicobo near the exit. A Chocobo will appear in the clearing.

Use ChocoZiner near the upper part of the clearing to get a Shell Stone and a Holy Stone.

Tips

Chocobo Forests are recognizable by their small circular shape on the map.
Once a treasure is found in a forest, the Chocobo will remain there for easy access.
The Chocobo can be ridden within the forest after it is found.
